I've just installed KDE 3.4, and it seems snappier to me (unless i enable translucency- holy frijole what a cold-tar fest!). However, i can't browse any local directories using konqueror- it asks me which program to use to open it. That includes home directory, etc. Do i need a different module to enable that? It doesn't make sense, but hey...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to change the file associations for directory and change it to "konqueror" so that it opens directories with it.

Thanks for the reply.

I did try that, of course. It then pops up another konqueror window, and asks again which application to use to open it. Ad infinitum.

I also never get a window opening when i select Settings->Configure Konqueror

What's up with that? Is 3.4 still this buggy, or is it just me?

I just got 3.4 installed a few hours ago. Browsing the local file system worked right out of the box.
