Gentoo 2005.0 Universal LiveCD freezes

hi,

i have tried to install Gentoo 2005.0 on my laptop (hardware spec [url=http://www.pcservicecall.co.uk/layout.aspx?ID={36e338ea-8cf5-476b-8317-50adf79482d1}&CatID={e2e06124-92d1-44a5-bfc3-5a7a4f7c3661}]here[/url]) using the downloaded Universal CD version but it freezes 7/10 times.

tried gentoo, gentoo-nofb kernels but still no joy!

any idea what might be causing it?

try booting it with noapic
