Hello,
I have the original ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon. I am wondering what drivers to use. I noticed that there are 2 different drivers available: ati's and gatos.
Currently I am using this system for mostly video editing, but also for an occasional game (nothing as intensive as UT2003). Which driver do I need to use? (currently I am just using the generic "ati" driver in my XF86Config) I would like to get some 2D/3D acceleration. I also noticed that there are ebuilds for both the ati-drivers and ati-gatos, but both are masked. What do I do!?

I would definately try out the gatos drivers, it looks like they support most of the features of the AIW. However, avoid the gatos ebuild, it is outdated and was pretty screwed up to begin with. Instead, head on over to http://gatos.sf.net and grab the latest versions of ati.2 and drm-kernel (make sure to pick ones appropriate for your XF86 version). Then check out the install procedure I outline in my first post here.

If you have any other questions about this, ask away.
