No keyboard response and i get this error... Idk what to do :/ first time installing gentoo
fsck.ext2 Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/hda2
/dev/hda2:
The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2
filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2
filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock
is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock:
e2fsck -b 8193 <device>
*Fsck could not correct all errors, manual repair needed
Give root password for maintenance
(or type Control-D for normal startup): |

Is your /dev/hda2 really a ext2/ext3 filesystem?
Reboot from installCD, then mount and chroot exactly as in the Handbook. After that, check your /etc/fstab and make sure the partitions' filesystem types are written correctly. |
