I'm having difficulties emerging x11 on a fresh install.... Here's what I get:
Quote:
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.5-20050130/../../../../i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lfl
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[4]: *** [pswrap] Error 1

This is also strange, I'm getting it all the time, and I think it's related:
Quote:
livecd / # env-update
>>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache...
* Caching service dependencies...
/var/lib/init.d/depcache: line 1: hades: command not found

hades is the hostname, btw... Anyone what all this means??? I'm not dismissing the possibility that I messed up somewhere during the installation (even though I've done a few)...

Forgot this:

Quote:

Unset: ASFLAGS, CBUILD, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, PORTDIR_OVERLAY

Most of the USE flags showed up by themselves, I only set cdr, dvd, nvidia, python, and -gnome, -dvdr...
Another thing: I've tried this both in a chroot environment from the livecd, and from the actual system, and everything is just the same.
Also, on the first line of emerge --info:
Quote:
Portage 2.0.51.19 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-3.3.5-20050130, glibc-2.3.4.20041102-r1, 2.6.11-gentoo-r3 i686)

it mentions kernel 2.6.11-r3, while the system is actually running on 2.6.11-r6... Is this because I'm chrooting from the livecd?
