Vmware keeps segfaulting

Hey!
I've installed vmware 3.1 from the 'attic', since I own this version. But each time I attempt at turning on a virtual machine, vmware segfaults. Anyone had this?

I'm not familiar with why you're segfauting, but doesn't your 3.1 licence key work for 3.2? I thought minor upgrades were free...
