|
|
This might seem like a total noob Q, but here goes:
I am trying to create a bootable Gentoo CD with the following on it:
1. LiveCD x86 minimal 2005.0
2. Stage3 Pentium3 2005.0
I can easily download the .iso for the LiveCD image and burn it to a disc. However, every time I try to go back and add the Stage3 tar ball to the disc it somehow damages its ability for it to boot and becomes usless. I really want to get both of these on the same CD so that I can have one piece of install media rather than two.
Hints? Handy tools? Etc.?

I was told that the Universal CD only included *some* Stage1 and Stage3 tarballs -- not all of them. The Gentoo Handbook is somewhat vague on this. Before I kick off a torrent download, can anyone tell me if the 2005.0 Universal CD contains the Pentium 3 Stage3 tar ball?
(I am surprised there isn't mention of this in the FAQ... that is, what is included on the Universal CD.)
Thanks for the quick reply.
