Okay, when I hit the reboot icon on the tool bar and manually choose reboot or shut down, all it does it log me out. Is there a way I can restart the computer from inside gnome as opposed to hitting the session when I log out?
Thanks

It's probably not allowing the restart since reboot/shutdown/halt is owned by root. I'm not sure but there may be an option for doing sudo via gnome and then customizing your shutdown/restart experience. Most likely something to do with gconf, but it's been a long time since I've used gnome... |
