How do I set up which sound device aMSN uses. It seems when I'm using XMMS and aMSN, aMSN's sounds don't play. And when aMSN starts up first it blocks the damn sound card. If I use liboss then XMMS will work. |

I've got a similar question...
Whenever I'm using xmms (with alsalib) I can listen to music and all.. The thing is, if amsn, gaim, or any other program uses the sound card at the exact time xmms changes the song, I get the message: "failed to open audio output: ALSA 1.2.10 output plugin". And I have to wait until the other app has finished using it to continue listening to xmms...
Is that normal? I mean, I've had that problem for quite a long time now... But it starts bothering me a lot when I try to use gxmms. As Gnome is configured to play sounds... And every time I try to change a song, xmms gives me that output error...
Help?
