ADSL Config With Bewan Pci St on Gentoo 1.4rc2

Has anybody tried to configure a Bewan Adsl PCI ST board?

When installing Gentoo via livecd, it stops at the "emerge sync" command because my network is not set.

Bewan Pci St includes on a single board an ATM chip and an ADSL Chip (Unicorn). I don't know how to configure ATM during the install process.

I don't know if this board is marketed in US (i'm living in France) but if someone knows something about this issue, please help!

My conf : PII 500Mhz(BX chipset), 512 Mb Ram, 15Go ide (3 HDs), Geforce 4 MX 440,Yamaha 192XG, PCTV Rave, Plextor CDRW, Samsung CD, Bewan ADSL Pci ST.

I've got this card too and it's far from trivial to install gentoo with it !
You need to go to the bewan website ( http://www.bewan.fr/ ) and get the latest Linux driver
( http://www.bewan.fr/bewan/utilisateurs/telechargement/pilotes/adsl/linux/A904-A888-0.5.2.tar.gz )
You need to get pppd with the pppoatm module. And don't forget to get the kernel sources from kernel.org
In fact you need to install a minimum Linux system, so you'd better install gentoo from stage3, no emerge nor anything that needs an Internet connection.
You need to build the kernel so you can compile the driver...

Good luck You can ask me (even in french) more details or files. For instance I've modified the init-script used to start the modem and the connection to gentoo-style.
