Hello,
there is one thing I'm unable to understand...
Why an app (ie gwhere) used by user1 can mount and umount a CDROM, while the user1 cannot mount it by hand....
I have to be as root to mount the CDROM...
Any idea?

maybe the application makes use of suid... you can mount it as user if you modify your fstab accordingly... check man mount for the right options |
