Problem while emerging KDE 3.1

I tried to emerge KDE 3.1 today, and it failed while compiling kde-base-3.1. The error occurred when it tried to build the stuff in the doc/kdm directory. There were several messages all reporting "undefined entities", e.g.
undefined entity &FPL;
undefined entity &
and so on, after some of these messages, the compilation was aborted. That sounds like a problem with xslt/xml to me? Could anyone give me some tips on this plz?

Not too much help, but... try compiling with less/no CFLAGS.
