xine will start only the first time after i've booted the system.. otherwise it gives me a green fuzzy screen.. and some vids don't play it tells me theres no multiplexer for it or something but it usd to play them.. and firefox when i start it it shuts down and i have to start it again and then it's fine i don't know if these are connected... any ideas what it could be?

| is xine using xv for output? i wonder if something else is tying up xv? |

sry for the ignorant question... but what is xv and how do i know if it's using it?
