802.11g possibilities

how do you folks run wifi pcmcia cards in linux?? i'll be purchasing an IBM t21 or t22 laptop shortly, and i have a trendnet pcmcia 802.11g card i'm hoping will work???

that will be the network i'll be connecting to most of the time. does that really mean i cannot access it at all thruogh linux??? i assume there's some way around this?
