I have set up ntp to sync my clock at boot up, but it seems that ntp tries to reach a server before my internet connection is set up properly. When I execute rc after login, ntp works properly. I have already tried to set the timeout to 180 in /etc/conf.d/ntp-client, but it doesn't work. Somebody who knows how I can resolve this? |

Adding ipw2200 to /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6 has resolved my problem. Before, my wireless card was brought up with hotplug (or coldpug ) and I didn't see any messages about starting the net.eth1 initscript.
Is this normal, or is this a bug in hotplug or the new baselayout? |
