Hecka true. Even though I am American, I notice a lot of those bad things. More often. Pessimistic good. You really don't hear about that Japanese imprisonment stuff during WWII nowadays, etc. Atomic bomb testing on its own troops. So much more.

Things go into public domain, in the US, at least, (IANAL), after 50 years. Stuff like advil and that.

Anyway. I can also agree with nethack, although it hurts my brain.

The US has done some great things and some terrible things in its history. Overall the balance has to be positive, in fact I would go so far as to agree that the US has had more positive influence on the world than any other country in recent history. I just wish that certain Americans would learn to stop telling everyone how wonderful they are all the time and to learn to laugh at themselves a bit more.

Now back to the topic: I like enemy-territory.

OK, you American-has-done-good-thingers, could you please tell what the US has done of good things versus bad things that made the balance positive? Because I don't really see how the balance ever would get positive... maybe you could help a bit!

Hehe, it's allways funny to hear people talking positive about america. Hehe, I'll say something positive:
America has to have very strong propaganda to make people believe thay are doing some good things. hahahahaha

and yes, this is not the right thread for this :)

I think you should also adopt my mantra, it really helps... But ssshhh, quite now, the moderators will close this if we talk too much about how to get criminals (hint: we) and stupid countries on the good path again...
EDIT:
This counts as a post after babo:
Stop posting! Those moderators are really serious you know... you really better start getting humble and obeyant.

Quite a lot of them, as many countries have been around for a hell of a lot longer and thus had more chances to do good than the US has.

8O

You need history lessons.

But if it helps focus your thoughts, try:

In any given 300 year period of time, what country has done more good in the world than the US?

China back in that good old day (i.e. 2000 years ago). They invented firework, paper, copy technique, compass.

Inventing stuff != doing good for the world

Re: OP: If you telnet to tty.freeshell.org you can find some free "games"

The games.

Before I erased my windows partition, I was addicted to Empire Earth. This was a very cool game, RTS in 3D that covered warfare from prehistory to some distant future where robots teleport into your city and wreak havok on yo pixelated ass.

Now I do play a lot of enemy territory on the weekends. This is a great game for venting frustration, but there tend to be a LOT of cheaters.

I'm not very satisfied with the racing games torcs and racer, but I only gave them a cursory look.

Frozen bubble is very cool. I like the sounds and the visuals are really cool too.

Well, that's my two cents.
