I use RegisterFly. They're cheap and provide a lot of DNS and forwarding functionality so that you can keep your domain independent from your provider. I also like the fact that DNS changes are applied immediately instead of reloading the DNS cache only every few hours. And there's also Regster4Less. Never used them but I've heard that their customer support is really awesome. They're a bit more expensive but if you're trying to run a business with those domains or register them for customers I'd give them a try.

I'd go with Network Solutions:

http://www.networksolutions.net ??

Or .com??

Anyway. They are the original, and still the deepest serving register. With all the competition, they've ALSO gotten LOTS cheaper.

Economy of scale. If you only want to try an address, say for one year, then decide on price. If you plan on keeping your address, then sign up for say, ten years, at which point the marginal cost is damned cheap. Especially considering you'll be dealing with the original registry.

That's my opinon.

I develop websites, and a good part of my work is in dealing with DNS changes. Network Solutions has really got it down. Add to that the fact that a single hour of my time cost more than TEN YEARS of registration, and I think you'll see what I'm getting at.

Awasom. I have a domain with godaddy, and I don't like how they update their DNS Caches only every two days! If regesterFly updates instantly, I'm there! Thanks man. :D

And no, I only need one year registration for now; so I'm not price hunting.
