i'm looking for information about HP 2000C printer under gentoo
installation of hplip (
./configure --prefix=/usr --disable-network-build
and make are ok but make install.. ) ends on hplip command not found
after this /usr/share/hplip exists in directory tree whith hplip on his right place and also
/etc/init.d/hplip restart
/etc/init.d/cupsd restart
is no problem
after configuration on http://localhost:631 printer dont response on anything (print test page.. lpr some.ps..)
dont know if it is a config problem or printer error, so if you have some experience, give a feedback
ps: other HP before was ok
thx

Why do you install hplip manually? It is in portage.
I installed it with emerge hplip. |

Have you tried installing gentoo's own hplip package?

its the way..
i think there is no problem with drivers cause i see some hp devices in my cups settings and have also tried gutenprint
i suppose that its the config or printer problem so if you have some manual to see or settings todo.. share
thx
