This wouldn't bother me at all if each one of these dead instances didn't use about 2% of my memory.

you should post your problem more precisely, what exactly is it? you can't kill the zombie processes or you don't know why it happens?
what version of gaim are you using? to kill them:

Yes, erm, sorry.
I'm using the latest Gaim. I absolutely know how to kill zombie processes. But I don't know why Gaim is causing this. And it's quite annoying I have to say. |

ok, that's strange... have you tried searching?
you could try opening 2 terminals and:
- in one, do a simple infinite loop with a "ps -lu heelios && sleep 2" command.
- in the other, open gaim. that way you can go testing gaim to see when exactly it opens all of the processes (and see possible error in the terminal).
btw, what do you mean with the latest version? the latest x86 or ~x86 from portage? _________________ noup. |
