Hi all!
I've got a Logitech ClickSmart 820 camera and I cannot manage to make it work.
As a usb mass storage the camera has no problem, while if I try to have its CCD online then the problems come out.
I know that the chipset is supported by the spca5xx driver, so I installed it and now I have the relative device in /dev/v4l/video1 (video0 is my tv card) linked to /dev/video1.
Here is the message from dmesg:
Code: | jijua@linux jijua $ dmesg
ohci_hcd 0000:00:02.1: wakeup

Now, I have loaded the spca5xx module to the default runlevel for boot time, but when I try to access the device with Gqcam I get a permission denied message:
Code: | jijua@linux jijua $ gqcam -v /dev/video1
/dev/video: Permission denied |
Note that my user is in the video group.
Some of you have ideas to solve this and make my camera work?
Thanks in advance for the patience |
