This is the second time I have attempted to upgrade to the 2005.0 profile. The first time I tried the automatic scripted way, and the second time I tried the manual way, both methods gave me the same results, I cannot run firefox-bin I get error messages about missing libs.

I followed the directions to the word, and even tried re emerging the emu libs to no avail.

Here is the specific error the firefox-bin gives me:

Code:
Warning: Couldn't extract MOZ_USER_DIR from /opt/firefox/firefox-bin
/opt/firefox/firefox-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
firefox-bin exited with non-zero status (127)
Warning: Couldn't extract MOZ_USER_DIR from /opt/firefox/firefox-bin

The lib its looking for in this case is located in:
/emul/linux/x86/usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
and
/usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0

I dont have many other 32bit apps to test with so I dont know if this is specific to 32bit apps or just this one.

I had some problems with mozilla-firefox-bin on 2005.0 too. It wouldn't run for me, so I decided to unmerge it and go ahead and try out mozilla-firefox. Although it takes some time to compile, I didn't have any problems with it.

I also don't have any problems with mozilla-firefox. I only wanted the bin-version for flash. But I get the same error.

But I do not have a lib problem.

mozilla-firefox works just fine, that was never an issue, the issue is with the binary version, needed for flash.
