Ok, I have xorg all nicely configured, everything works except for my mouse, actually, not sure if keyboard does but thats just because I can't use the mouse to bring up something to do with the keyboard
^ ^
Lots of people seem to be having problems with thier usbmice and 2005.0 I have searched thier threads to no avail. I have my mouse set to /dev/input/mice and when I cat /dev/input/mice it acts like there is a mouse there, but moving my mouse does nothing and never gets powered. Well, actually the mouse recieves power somewhere really early on in the boot but then gets given up on. If I replug in my mouse, it recieves power but still doesnt give me any results when i try to cat /dev/input/mice. I'm using IMPS/2 with zaxismapping 4 5 and /dev/input/mice as my mouse since thats the only one cat will even pay atention to. I made sure I had O E and U HCI (spelling may be wrong but yeah) HID support enabled in my device drivers/usb in my bios. The live cd detected it flawlessly but not sure how to learn from the livecd on this one... ![Laughing ](images/smiles/icon_lol.gif) |

-=GGW=- $ol!d $n4>|e,
is correct. Thats events from all pointing devices.
You must not have both uhci-hcd and ohci-hcd in the kernel, the former is for Intel/VIA hardware, the latter for everything else. ehci-hcd is for USB 2, you don't need it for mice. You also need the two HID options.
I use Protocol "Auto" rather than "IMPS/2"
You may find something useful in your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file, which X writes on every start.
Also, you can tell X to start without a pointer device but I don't recall how just now. Its in the man page.
Its probably not useful though. _________________ Regards,
