No offense, but based on the silliness of your first mistake I highly recommend you do a stage3 install.

You need to download one of the livecd files, which end in .iso

If you know how to download Gentoo, then you MUST know there is a handbook that goes into great details on how to install it: Stage 1, Stage 2, or Stage 3!!! Download and follow the instructions on it and stop the "BUMP" thing!!!

This shows me that you didn't read or didn't understand the handbook.

Code:

2.d. Download, Burn and Boot a Gentoo Installation CD

Downloading and Burning the Installation CDs

You have chosen to use a Gentoo Installation CD. We'll first start by downloading and burning the chosen Installation CD. We previously discussed the several available Installation CDs, but where can you find them?

You can download any of the Installation CDs (and, if you want to, a Packages CD as well) from one of our mirrors. The Installation CDs are located in the releases/x86/2005.0/installcd directory.

Inside that directory you'll find so-called ISO-files. Those are full CD images which you can write on a CD-R.

Can you explain which part of the above you don't understand?

Lots of things. Some people use the search feature to find out if their problem is already solved. Some people run into specific problems not already dealt with in the documentation or in the forums. And some never bother to read the Guidelines or read documentation, but merely post away and demand support as if it were something they were entitled to.

Read the Guidelines and act accordingly. So far you have not convinced us that you're not merely lazy and demanding. If you tell us what you have done to find a solution to your problem and can ask your question in a way that's precise and to the point, you'll find people much more willing to treat you respectfully and help solve your problem. If that's too much trouble you're welcome to go back to other forums.
