|

Hi, I am trying to solve a software raid problem (see https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=33235)
In the meantime, I'm booting from my cd to try to mount my raid disks (and am creating another /etc/raidtab now).
But it would be nice if I could mount my floppy /dev/fd0 before I chroot into the root of the hard drive (s).
But when I do
mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy
it cannot access the device. it said that /dev/fd0 does not exist
When I run for example mke2fs /dev/fd0, it gives me another error--cannot stat /dev/fd0
I find it hard to believe that you can't access the floppy from the cd. Ok, what stupid thing have I forgotten?
