ich scheitere gerade beim bootstrapping, sobald er portage updaten will bekomme ich ein "OSError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/var/tmp/portage/portage-2.0.51.19/temp'"

Hmm
hast du das stage-file auch mit dem Parameter p entpackt?
also | Code: | | tar -pxjf stage1... |
-p sorgt dafür dass die Berechtigungen, die im tar-file enthalten sind auch mit entpackt werden |

falls es was hilft: ich verwende debian zum installieren von gentoo...

Weiss allerdings nicht, ob das böse ist, da das ja das Verzeichniss für alle lesbar macht. |

Das sollte eigentlich kein Problem sein...
Hmm was mir noch als Letztes spontan einfällt: Hast du auch den chroot gemacht? |

ich installiere jetzt nicht mehr von debian aus, sondern von der gentoo live-cd ... da funktionierts einwandfrei...
zuerst hab ich noch eine stage2 installation probiert, um das problem beim bootstrapping zu umgehen... ->gleicher fehler
naja, jetzt funktionierts
