Hello... I have a couple of questions, I've been reading through the forum and got some answers but I need some more.

Firstly, I like the what engage does, i use a mac at work and I think that task bar is brilliant. What does it take to install engage on fluxbox. I read somewhere that you have to install most of E17 for it to work properly is that true? Also someone posted a link to the engage doc's but it is broken and I can't find anything on google.

Secondly, I use idesk for the icons and the gentoo icon set, but they are giant... is the only way to fix this to manually change the size of the icon with gimp or something?

Finally, I have a multimonitor setup with an ATI Radeon card (big desktop, one frambuffer). I know this probably isn't easily done but can I make it so that when I maximize a window i will just maximize to one screen instead of the entire desktop.

yes - IIRC.
You can do this:
Code:
cd /dir/with/icons; for f in *png; do convert -scale sizexsize $f; done

Try adesklets yab as engage replacement, it's uses a very few dependencies and it's not a resource hungry, IMHO suits perfect with fluxbox.

look at that demo http://adesklets.sourceforge.net/verbatim/yab.html

do you mean that emerging fvwm i can run fvwmbuttons inside fluxbox?
...i had read a lot of posts and docs about fvwm but didn't figure that is possible.

if every time someone ask for how to fix something in linux other people say "simple, just install MS Windows"...
