How do i see if i am using full duplex and what my nic supports?
How do i see what speed i am using and what my nic supports?
Then, how do i change these values? |

That depends on which NIC it is. If it's a MII-based NIC,For example: Code: | moocha ~ # mii-tool eth0
eth0: negotiated 100baseTx-FD, link ok | (FD = Full Duplex).
If mii-tool doesn't cooperate or isn't enough, you may want to look at the ethtool and/or nictools packages. _________________ Military Commissions Act of 2006: http://tinyurl.com/jrcto

It's actually sys-apps/mii-diag rather than mii-tools. The other poster probably mistyped because he was thinking about ethtool when he posted.
