hi,

did emerge the genkernel,
Code:
genkernel all

produces

grep: /usr/src/linux/Makefile: No such file or directory
...
Error: No kernel .config specified, or file not found!

doesn't really help me, cause i don't get which is the "name" of the existing directory?

Did you emerge any kernel sources before running genkernel?

no, i did follow the gentoo amd 64 handbook...

should i do:

emerge -av sys-kernel/gentoo-sources
?

yes, emerge gentoo-sources first, then run genkernel --udev all
