i have gentoo 1.2 with apache 1.3.27-1, mod_php 4.3.0-r2. I downloaded zend optimizer from zend tech. and tried to install it. it seems to be not like the fact that my apache conf files are split into commonapache.conf and apache.conf. i tried making a single httpd.conf for zend installation, but it doesn't seem to apply any changes to my httpd.conf.
when i bring up phpinfo() it seems to show that the optimizer is installed, but i'm getting strange behaviors (encoded php codes being skipped?). i feel like my setup of php+zend is a jenga tower that's about to tip over :)has anyone successfully installed and configured zend optimizer?
thanks,
