I have a crontab set up for my user, and also another crontab for the user root. However, the commands in the crontab aren't being executed.

My crontab for myself is as follows:
Code:

SHELL=/bin/sh
QTDIR=/usr/qt/3

0 7 * * * /usr/bin/mythfilldatabase --mark-repeats --no-delete --quiet
0 6 * * * /usr/bin/rdate -s time.nist.gov
34 * * * * /bin/yasuc

It seems that the mythfilldatabase runs, however the rdate and yasuc programs do not run at the specified time interval. Whats the deal?

Have you looked to see if you have ~/dead.letter and what it says? Errors from cron usually end up here I believe.
