I'm not sure what's going with my kernel sources but I am unable to locate the /proc/mttr directory on my system.
System Specs:
MSI 6340M -Via 686 chipset, Athlon t-bird CPU (2)512 pc133 memory
I'm building mplayer and it's not seeing the /proc/mttr setting even though it's supposedly built into the kernel. Anyone else seeing this problem with the 2.6.11.7 vanilla-sources? _________________ AsRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4

You're absolutely sure that you have enabled MTRR support into the kernel? The corresponding symbol is CONFIG_MTRR - what does Code: | zgrep MTRR /proc/config.gz | say? _________________ Military Commissions Act of 2006: http://tinyurl.com/jrcto

I rebuilt my kernel once again and now have /proc/mtrr showing up but I'm still baffled as to why it didn't show up earlier as I build all kernels with mtrr support by default. _________________ AsRock B550 Phantom Gaming 4
