Annoying SSH,ICQ,IRC connection resets

I have a D-Link WLAN router/switch (AirPlus XtremeG), connected over TV cable modem to my provider. The PCs are connected to the switch integrated in the router. The internet connection works well: www, torrent, mldonkey work fine, but in ICQ, IRC and over SSH connections, I get disconnected about every 30mins. The connections just freezes and then "Connection reset by peer". The provider claims that my connection is of perfect quality. How could I fix this?

Hi,

how much bandwidth are you using, when you get disconnected from irc,icq and ssh ?

About 20kb/s for BT and 10kb/s for mldonkey upstream and not much maybe 50-100kb/s downstream. The limit is 250 downstream and 50 upstream.
