I have an iPod mini since around a month, and configured everything :
- usb 2.0 support in the kernel (not compiled as module)
- hfs plus support
- scsi support
It worked perfectly during 2 weeks, and I didn't connected it to my PC the last 2 weeks.
And today, trying to connect my iPod, it charged the battery without problems but I don't get the message "Do Not Disconnect" anymore. When plugged the iPod simply gets on, I can see the menu and play music when it's connected !
Code: | 0> mount /mnt/ipod/
mount: special device /dev/sda does not exist

I can give you any information, I don't really know what to give because dmesg don't detect anything. lsusb doesn't show anything too.
I just hope my usb port is not dead ! My usb joystick still connects very good, however.

RTFM... This is the first time in my life I find the answer of a problem in the 'troubleshooting' chapter of a manual !!! Thank you Apple !
So I had to reinitialize my iPod as indicated in the manual, and it worked fine then ! After the Apple Logo, I got the "Do No Disconnect" message ![Smile :)](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |
