|
|
Hi everybody,
I have compiled the kernel 2.6.12-rc2 and i have some problems with my audigy player :
Code: | Card config:
Sound Blaster Audigy (rev.3, serial:0x531102) at 0xa000, irq 18 |
First its not possible to change level of bass or tremble with Kmix.
I have replaced the folder /sound/pci/emu10k1 in the kernel source with version 2.6.11.7 and there is no problem !
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Yesterday, i have compiled the kernel version 2.6.12-rc4 and the problem its still here !!! No sound at all with this version !!!
Anybody has the same problem ?
I thing there is a serious problem with the new drivers of the lastest kernel >= 2.6.12 ...
Perhaps an idea ? Thx in adavance for your answers |

I have this exact same problem, i am have a SB Live!, and this uses the emu10k1 module.
With 2.6.12-rc2, rc4 I have no working sound, yet i am given no errors when trying to use aplay to play a file.
Anyone with a work around, i am back to 2.6.11-rcx for the moment. |

When running 2.6.11-rc4, which my sound still works under.
Code: | % cat /dev/sndstat
cat: /dev/sndstat: No such device
|
So maybe not that? |
