Been having an unusual amount of crashes since I installed the RO mod and was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. I'm running ut2k4 fully patched with the latest release of RO version 3.2.Doesn't seem to happen on any one map or by doing anything particular in-game. The crashes seem random. Here's a snippet of my RO.log from the crash.

If I'm reading the backtrace from the log correctly it seems to error out on [13] ??
Quote: | Log: [13] /lib/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xf7) [0xb7d41fb7] |
?? If so then it's pointing to libc.so.6 which is a glibc library. I've tried reinstalling glibc but that doesn't seem to make any difference. It's been installed with ntpl and nptlonly USE flags. Would that cause such issues?
Code: | gw@cornfield ~ $ /lib/libc.so.6

Just in case anything from there is pertinant to this discussion. Btw, these seg faults don't appear to happen at all with ut2k4.. I've played for a few hours today without any crashes but 20 minutes or less into RO and it _WILL_ crash.
EDIT: Also, I've read that having the "Motion Blur" option on will cause RO to segfault in linux due to the option not being stable in linux or some such thing. I've tried turning this option off but it doesn't help. I thought I'd edit this in incase anyone thought it might be causing an issue, since I've read it from multiple sources, apparently it's not though. |
