I have motorola c380. when I plug it in usb socket I got /dev/ttyACM0 device.
If I start dialup scripts from root I got GPRS connection and all works ok. When I try to connect from kppp I got modem is not find. If I use simens on com port /dev/ttyS1 - kppp works well.
Actually I got this problem on gentoo 2005.0, 2004.3, FedoraCore 2,3.
Changing owner on the device does not help.It looks like it get fault when try to change device setting by IOCTL. |

Have you checked the pppd permissions? I had to change root:root to root:dialout --and, of course, make certain it is executable. (Just a guess... hope it works.) _________________ ...Yogi |
