Hi,
I have read the fine guide to setting up a wireless access point (http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Building_a_Wireless_Access_Point_With_Gentoo) and have basic functionality. There are a couple things I can't figure out. First, if I try to set the mode to master I get
Code: |
wlan0 does not support setting the mode to "master" |
I have linksys wmp54gs card that I am using ndiswrapper to run. Is this a limitation of the card, ndiswrapper or me? I can run it as ad-hoc, but I was under the impression that master would run faster.
Second, I want to be able to set the connection so that you need a password to connect, not a many digit key as is shown in the guide.
Any help on either of these would be greatly appreciated. |
