Hi..
Earlier this week i tried 'emerge bind-tools' and it failed and the whole system died (kernel panic or something.. couldn't even ping it). Upon reboot, it would get stuck at 'XFS recovering filesystem' for over 12 hours... tried rebooting 2-3 times. I left it off for the day and restarted it the next morning without problems. Anyhow since then I have been unable to re-merge or unmerge bind-tools (it fails), and also, I'm trying to emerge mutt right now and i've posted the results below. If anyone could provide input I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Dan

I just updated to portage 1.9.1 and its still not working. tried emerge --clean rsync; emerge rsync; and I still can't emerge any ports.
This is what happens when i try to do 'emerge -b mutt' (just generate the package):
/* snip

usr/bin/pgpring
usr/bin/pgpewrap
usr/bin/muttbug
usr/bin/flea
