Hi, everyone...
I spent the past couple of days trying to get gensplash and the LiveCD-2005.0 theme up and running. I believe I have succeeded, because the boot splash and progress bar work as I would expect them to. My question regards the appearance of the console... What should the console look like with this theme (I've never seen a screenshot of one)?
Does anyone know where a console screenshot of this theme can be viewed?
Can anyone simply describe the console appearance with this theme (after the boot process)?
Thanks, to anyone willing to chip in!!

You posted in the worng forum... so your post may be moved.
Usually you can press F2 to get the verbose mode of the gensplash which should show you what the console will look like
-----------------------------------------
How did you get the livecd-2005.0 gensplash to work? I can get Emergence and Gentoo gensplash to work, but for some reason not the livecd one.
Did you compile the kernel with genkernel or not? I did, so I'm wondering if it is a problem with genkernel settings or not |

Snowlock...
Ok, thanks. I didn't know that the verbose appearance during the boot process should be identical to the console appearance after boot completes... I'll try that!
Thanks, again...

Yes, from my experiences, the console screen via F2 (verbose mode) remains the same after boot; however, this is not applied to all consoles. You will need to specifically apply the theme to every console and that can be done by doing this:
Code: | # rc-update add splash default |
