Hi,
i just had a strange error everything worked fine but suddenly the network went offline (exactly: just the name resolution) and emerge system aborted with error. Thats ok. I could ping everything the dns server and gateway (which are an Win Box with ICS). I added the originating nameserver from my provider and everything was fine.
My question could this be a problem with gentoo or is was this just bad luck?

if ur windows box has a firewall try and shut it off
or edit by allowing ur gentoo box to connect |
