Hello, I am using a Linksys WRT54G router as an ethernet bridge. That is, it acts as a client to the main router and is hooked to my computer through ethernet. The router than bridges the two connections. In short, it is a Wifi-ethernet bridge.
I have the bridge-router set on DMZ for my computer. However, there is a problem. Previously, when my computer was directy hooked to the main router, it could send uPnP requests to the router and everything would be fine. Now, the computer sends the uPnP requests to the bridge-router - which is utterly useless, as my computer is already DMZed. However, these uPnP requests never make it to the main router, and the public-private port fowarding never works. Ideally, my computer would send the uPnP request to my bridge-router, which would then foward the uPnP request to the main router. Is that how it should be done? Could that be done? Is there a way to directly send the uPnP requests to the main router? How should I solve this problem? _________________ http://tommy.impulsestorm.com/ |
