Hello!
I installed Gentoo as a guest OS in Vmware. Did everything as explained in the install docs. No errors...
Rebooted the virtual machine and entering initlevel 3, it loads msyslog, eth0, network fs and vcron. Then it stops the boot. The last line is "Starting local... [ ok ]"
Any ideas why since I cannot find anything?
Thanks in advance... |

I'm not a Vmware user, but..
Try to boot the virtual machine again with your LiveCD and mount the various partitions as you did during install. Then check /mnt/gentoo/var/log for errors or hints.
Which version of the kernel are you using? Which version of Vmware?
