Gentoo Production Servers: Show Offs

Hi I just want to start a thread where doods that have Gentoo running as production server talk about thier beloved server(s).

Not here to advertise so to make it short, this is a J-Culture video promotion, full featured community: forum, IM, user space, video/audio streaming etc..

This is the cheapest I can find for the crazy hardware it provides, not sure why other companies charge 5 times more??

So far i have not found any problems with the server, it's been extremely stable even when the site was going through a 2 week non-stop video conversion phase! During the conversion phase the community was still doing business as usual and users did not notice any performance issue. For a while I was planning to move the site to FreeBSD instead as it's been said to be more stable, however I ran into many problems with getting the video processing/streaming components to work. Gentoo on the other hand was so easy to setup, so I'm just going to stick with Gentoo for now.

There's nothing special about those prices. I was looking at companies charging $20-30 more, but that was a year ago.
