Have just added a few extra components to my Apache box, how would I go ahead and stress test it? I guess what I would really like to see is how it copes with x amount of requests being sent to it and how the pages are served during this period at different parts of the net. Any ideas? |

Try flood.
I once used this to stress test the new apache2. Took the tool 20s to kick that sucker out of the ring ;P
I admit, recent releases are pretty stable...

use the apache benchmark tool `ab` or `ab2` that comes with apache. _________________ less QQ more pewpew! |
