I want to install pythonmagick, but when I try I get this:

If I remove jam, will boost-jam seamlessly provide the same functionality? Or am I unable to install pythonmagick because of this?

Well, according to this bug (search: ALL boost-jam) https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48246 the two programs (jam & boost-jam) both install something to /usr/bin/jam. The bug doesn't mention compatibility though. I'm not certain how to tell which is currently installed.
