Has anyone got the Via X binary drivers to install on a Gentoo system. I need the binary driver because I need to use the VIA enhanced Xine Player (VeXP) to get mpeg2 hardware decoding (does not install using the unichrome X driver).
The latest version of the binary driver is "40056-full-bin" from http://www.viaarena.com/.
I have a EPIA-SP, with the CN400 chipset (it has mpeg2 and mpeg4 hardware decoding).
The ebuild and directions are incomplete and outdated found at http://www.epiawiki.org/wiki/tiki-index.php?page=EpiaXfree.

CN400 mpeg2 functionality is supported by the unichrome-snapshot driver.

I've had a go at building this driver but after re-emerging xorg-x11 with the 'sdk' USE flag, I can't find the sdk so as to satisfy the requirement for a /usr/src/xc directory (I assume that's what the sdk is all about!!).
Any tips?
Failing that, what BIOS setup should I use to avoid a blank screen when I run the CVS snapshot (xorg-x11-6.8.99. Unichrome driver and does anyone have a woring xorg.conf file for this driver suitable for a sp13000?
Cheers
