Getting frustrated, trying to set up an http server

To make a long story short............. I am trying to set up an http server. I am new to this and after some headaches with other distros I decided to try it with Gentoo. What are the packages I need for a secure http server. Are there any instructions on setting up apache, etc, in Gentoo? Thanks.
