avevo lo stesso problema nel live precendente
ho installato gentoo sul portatile, ma ora volevo convertire il mio pc fisso a gentoo ,
nella live precedente il modulo n_hdlc che serviva per far funzionare il modem usb non non veniva caricato!! quindi niente installazione di gentoo:cry: 
sapete se il problema è stato risolto??? |

A quanto pare l'errore è stato risolto io ho lo stesso modem!

ciao a tutti ho provato ad installare il modem nel live cd !!! ho settato tutto ho sistemato anche il mgmt.o, l unica cosa che non mi carica è il modulo n_hdlc!!!
però questa volta è andata meglio, quando faccio partire il /etc/init.d/speedtouch non mi da errori e sempbra che la rete funzioni!!! ho settato il file resolv.conf, ma se pingo google non va!!!!!
ho settato anche la rete con igconfig eth0 192.168.64.1 ma nulla non parte non vedo internet!!!
devo settare qulacosa altro???
un altra cosa come faccio a fare l installazione ??? cosa posso usare???? |

l ultima domanda lo posta male come faccio se non riesco a far partire il modem a fare l installazione da rete???
nel forum qualcuno diceva di installare da stage 3 con il cd universal e poi dare emerge world!!! ma non voglio fare in quel modo!!!!
posso installare per esempio con la knoppix??? |

Da quel che ho capito hai gentoo su un portatile no? Io fossi in te installerei il manta sul portatile che farebbe da server, così l'altro pc farebbe momentaneamente da client e potresti installare tranquillamente li la gentoo

Se leggi la guida all'installazione noterai che si può anche installare anche senza la rete
