Just a few questions:
How do I get the recordserver running?
How do I set the TV_RECORD_DIR? Putting "TV_RECORD_DIR="/home/bla" does not work.
How to use xmltv to create /tmp/TV.xml?
Thanks _________________ Hats off to everyone in leadership, developmental, or administrative capacities for Gentoo Linux. Your hard work is very much appreciated. |

1. freevo recordserver start
2. set it in /etc/freevo/local_conf.py
3. tv_grab_na_dd --output /tmp/TV.xml (something like that) _________________ If it ain't broke, tweak it. dvds | blurays | blog | wiki |

Thought I did those before, but must not have... the first 2 worked perfectly. tv_grab_na_dd --configure does not like my username and password for some reason, even though I entered my correct user name and password in. Does that have to be configured some other way? Thanks _________________ Hats off to everyone in leadership, developmental, or administrative capacities for Gentoo Linux. Just a thought, have you renewed your subscription to Zap2it Labs? I thought I was having problems with it a bit ago and realized their site listed my account as expired, maybe this is your problem, maybe not. |

that was it. Now to wait for the bug in xmltv to be taken care of and I should be all set. _________________ Hats off to everyone in leadership, developmental, or administrative capacities for Gentoo Linux. Your hard work is very much appreciated. |

BTW :
I never figured out why there is the path to the xmltv program within Freevo config file, since freevo never seemd to launch the grabber at any time ...
Any ideas ? |

You can copy that file to ~/.freevo/local_conf.py and edit that one instead . This way every user on the machine can have their own settings, and you don't have to be root or use sudo when editing the config file. |
