I'm setting up an Exabyte VXA-2 1x10 tape library and tried the command 'mtx load 1' to tell the library to load the tape in tray 1. It responded with Code: | Cannot open SCSI device '/dev/changer' - No such file or directory |
If I load the tape using the library's interface on the device itself and then use mt, I can manipulate the tape without any problems.
Any idea what I need to do to add /dev/changer and get this thing changing tapes through mtx? _________________ An Evil Genious' Guide to Sheeple and How To Avoid Becoming One | 0x4C9EF4A |

I figured out that this has something to do with needing multiple LUN support so I compiled this into the kernel. I also added the kernel param max_scsi_luns=16 to the kernel params is grub.conf. Still 'cat /proc/scsi/scsi' doesn't show the device. I'm somewhat lost as to where to go from here. _________________ An Evil Genious' Guide to Sheeple and How To Avoid Becoming One | 0x4C9EF4A |
